The Complete Guide To Hydraulic Torque Pump

Hydraulic torque pumps are the unit that powers the hydraulic wrench. The hydraulic tensioner pump is the motor unit of the bolt tensioner. It is a conversion device that transforms mechanical energy into pressure energy. It’s an energy source that supplies oil to hydraulic systems for transmission.

How Does A Hydraulic Power Pack Working?

The basic principle of mechanical torque pumps works by the movement changes the chamber of the pump and compresses the fluid, making it fluid the energy of pressure. The essential requirement is that the pump cavity is sealed with a volume and that the volume changes.

Hydraulic power packs are a type of hydraulic component which provides liquid pressurized for hydraulic power pack systems. It is a type of pump.

It converts the mechanical energy from power equipment (such as internal combustion engines and electric motors engines) into pressure energy in liquids.

The motor drives the cam to spin. When the cam pulls the plunger upwards, the volume formed by the plunger and the body of the cylinder is diminished, and the oil is removed from the seal volume and then discharged to the location required through the one-way valve.

When the cam is rotated to the lower end of its curve, the spring pulls the plunger downwards to create an air-tight seal, and the oil inside the tank gets into the sealed area under the influence of atmospheric pressure.

It causes the plunger’s pressure to move up and down continuously; the sealing volume is constantly reduced and then increases while the hydraulic power pump continually suctions and releases oil.

How To Correctly Use Hydraulic Power Pack Hydraulic Pumps For Beginners?

Here are some easy steps:

  • Examine the diameter of the bolt, the nut size, the washer thickness, the grade of the bolt washer diameter, the length of the washer, the length of the free bolt protrusion and bolt load demands. You can then review the mechanical torque pump’s requirements to ensure it has the torque required to reach the preload rate.
  • High-pressure tubing connects the hydraulic pump unit to the torque wrench or bolt tensioner.
  • Put the wrench for hydraulic torque or bolt tensioner onto the nut that needs to be tightened.
  • Control the high-pressure hydraulic pump. Inject high-pressure oil into the hydraulic tensioner/wrench cylinder. The piston can start working while the tensioner/wrench goes into its working state. Now, be aware of the pressure of the hydraulic torquing machine and the tensioner/wrench hydraulic. The operating status should be monitored within the specified range.
  • Once the nut is completely tightened and the pump pressure is pre-set, press the button to retract, and the rods retract. This is when the pre-tightening of the nut is completed.

Why Use A Hydraulic Pump?

  • The hydraulic power source is the power source for the hydraulic torque wrench and the bolt tensioner. This will ensure maximum efficiency and guarantee safety during construction.
  • The tank that holds the fuel and pump body of the aluminium-titanium alloy is lightweight and easy to transport, construct and achieve higher working pressure.
  • The high-precision pressure gauge PH100 ensures an exact torque measurement that the wrench can achieve.
  • The output pressure is easily adjusted within a 40-700 bar range.
  • Different types of engines can be fitted to meet customer specifications.
